Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
1. The promoter
The promoter is Gastronomy Plus Limited, trading as Kasai, company number 07031979, whose registered office is at Central Barn, Claughton Business Park, Hornby Road, Claughton, Lancaster, Lancashire, LA2 9JX (“Kasai” or the “Promoter”).

2. Eligibility
2.1 The prize draw is open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
2.2 Employees of the Promoter, The Black Swan, The Abbey Inn and any other organisation professionally connected with the prize draw may not enter. This exclusion also applies to their immediate families.
2.3 There will be one winner. The winner may bring one guest, who must also be aged 18 or over.
2.4 The Promoter may request proof of age, identity and eligibility before confirming the prize.
3. How to enter
3.1 The prize draw opens on Friday 18 September 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on Monday 28 September 2026. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.
3.2 To enter, entrants must complete and submit the prize-draw form on the Kasai website, including all required personal details, eligibility confirmations and food-related questions.
3.3 Answers to the food-related questions will not be judged and will not affect an entrant’s chances of winning. The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries.
3.4 No purchase is necessary and there is no charge to enter.
3.5 Only one entry per person is permitted. Automated, bulk, third-party or duplicate entries will not be accepted.
3.6 Entries that are incomplete, fraudulent or do not comply with these terms may be disqualified.
4. The prize
4.1 One winner will receive a One Day in Oldstead experience for themselves and one guest, taking place on Sunday 11 and Monday 12 October 2026.
4.2 The prize includes:

Dinner, bed and breakfast for two at The Abbey Inn on Sunday 11 October 2026, based on two people sharing one room

A guided sloe-berry foraging experience in Oldstead

4.3 The provisional itinerary for Monday 12 October is:

8:30am–9:30am – Breakfast at The Black Swan

By 10:30am – Check out of The Abbey Inn

10:00am – Morning coffee and pastries at The Black Swan

10:30am – Guided sloe-berry foraging experience

11:30am – Refreshments and sloe-gin-making workshop at The Abbey Inn

All timings are approximate and may be subject to change.
4.4 The prize must be taken on 11 and 12 October 2026. The winner and their guest must both be available to attend on these dates.
4.5 Travel to and from Oldstead, travel insurance, additional food or drink, personal expenses and any other costs not expressly listed above are not included.
4.6 The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, another prize or an alternative date.
4.7 Alcohol will only be served to adults and may be refused at the venue’s discretion.
4.8 The experience includes outdoor foraging, which may take place on uneven or muddy ground and in changeable weather. The winner and their guest are responsible for bringing suitable clothing and footwear.
4.9 If circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control make any element of the prize unavailable, the Promoter may provide a reasonable alternative of equal or greater value.
5. Winner selection and notification
5.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries using a verifiably random computer process.
5.2 The draw will take place on Tuesday 29 September 2026.
5.3 The selected entrant will be contacted privately using the email address or telephone number provided on the entry form.
5.4 The selected entrant’s eligibility and availability must be verified before they are confirmed or publicly announced as the winner.
5.5 The selected entrant must RSVP to hello@kasaigrills.com within 48 hours of being contacted, confirming:

their acceptance of the prize;

that they are available to attend on 11 and 12 October 2026;

their full legal name;

the full legal name of their guest;

contact details for themselves and their guest;

any dietary, allergy, medical or accessibility requirements; and
5.6 If the selected entrant cannot be contacted, does not RSVP within 48 hours, cannot attend on the specified dates, does not provide the required information or is found to be ineligible, the Promoter may withdraw the prize and select another winner at random.
5.7 The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Confirming the hotel stay and experience
6.1 Once the winner has accepted the prize and supplied the required information, the Promoter will liaise with The Abbey Inn and the Oldstead team to confirm the hotel stay and experience.
6.2 The hotel booking will be made for the night of Sunday 11 October 2026 in the winner’s name, for the winner and their named guest sharing one room.
6.3 The winner will receive written confirmation containing the hotel-booking details, arrival information, final itinerary and relevant contact details.
6.4 The winner must check the confirmation carefully and notify the Promoter promptly if any information is incorrect.
6.5 The winner and their guest may be required to provide identification when checking in and must comply with the reasonable booking and conduct requirements of The Abbey Inn, The Black Swan and the event organisers.
6.6 The booking cannot be transferred to another person or amended directly with the hotel without the Promoter’s prior written approval.
6.7 If the winner or their guest can no longer attend after the booking has been confirmed, they must notify hello@kasaigrills.com as soon as possible. No cash payment, alternative date or replacement prize will be offered.
7. Dietary and accessibility requirements
7.1 The winner must provide details of any allergies, dietary requirements, medical conditions or accessibility requirements affecting themselves or their guest when accepting the prize.
7.2 The venues will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requirements disclosed in advance but cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.
7.3 The winner is responsible for ensuring that the information provided for themselves and their guest is complete and accurate.
8. Photography and filming
8.1 Official photography and filming will take place throughout the experience.
8.2 By accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that they and their guest may be photographed or filmed during the event.
8.3 Images and footage featuring the winner and their guest may be used by Gastronomy Plus Limited, trading as Kasai, and businesses associated with Tommy Banks, including The Black Swan and The Abbey Inn, across their respective websites and social-media channels to promote the experience and their brands.
8.4 No additional payment will be made for the agreed use of the photography or footage.
9. Winner information
9.1 Once the winner has accepted the prize and their eligibility has been confirmed, the Promoter may announce the winner across Kasai’s channels.
9.2 To demonstrate that a valid award has taken place, the Promoter will make the winner’s surname and county available to anyone who requests this information by emailing hello@kasaigrills.com within one month of the closing date.
9.3 The winner may object to their surname or county being published, or request that the amount of information published is reduced, by contacting hello@kasaigrills.com.
9.4 The Promoter may still be required to provide the winner’s details to the Advertising Standards Authority if requested.
10. Personal information and marketing
10.1 Personal information submitted during entry will be used to administer the prize draw, verify eligibility, contact the winner and arrange the prize.
10.2 Information relating to the winner and their guest may be shared with The Black Swan, The Abbey Inn, the photographer, videographer and relevant event suppliers where necessary to administer and deliver the prize.
10.3 Consent to receive marketing communications from Kasai, The Black Swan, The Abbey Inn or any associated business is optional and is not a condition of entry.
10.4 Entrants’ personal information will only be shared for marketing purposes where they have actively and separately consented to this.
10.5 Entrants may withdraw their marketing consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or by contacting the relevant business.
10.6 Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Kasai privacy policy available on the Kasai website.
11. General
11.1 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, misdirected or not successfully submitted because of a technical fault or circumstances outside its reasonable control.
11.2 The Promoter may disqualify anyone it reasonably believes has attempted to manipulate the entry process, supplied false information or breached these terms.
11.3 The Promoter may cancel, suspend or amend the prize draw where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this unavoidable. Any changes will be communicated without unfairly disadvantaging existing entrants.
11.4 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
11.5 If the prize draw is promoted through Instagram, Facebook or another social-media platform, it is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with that platform.
11.6 These terms are governed by English law. Entrants may bring proceedings in the courts applicable to their place of residence within the United Kingdom.
11.7 By entering, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
